Our mentoring

We help your child reach their learning potential.

We do this by providing the support, motivation and guidance that your child needs to overcome the barriers to learning.

child focused

We need to meet young people where they are, not where we expect them to be.

As a mentor, we ask for our mentee’s time and effort. However, we are really asking for something much greater: for them to be willing to change; to be brave enough to accept that they need some support and guidance, as we all do throughout our lives.

By focusing on the child, not the curriculum, we work to ensure our mentees are ready to learn, addressing both personal and academic skills development.

A new approach

We are challenging a traditional approach

  • One that expects a child to be ready to learn.

  • One that doesn’t take the time to understand context, a child’s wellbeing, or learning difficulties.

  • One that is baked into a rigid education system that processes students along the factory-line towards standardised one-size-fits-all testing.

Pathway to Potential

The reality is that more teaching/tutoring isn't the answer. It is readiness to learn that defines academic performance.

For a student to reach their learning potential, they need to be ready to learn. Schools and tutors focus on delivering the learning, in the limited time they have with individual students. We seek to understand your child and the challenges they may be facing, creating an action plan to allow them to move forwards.
